Vintage clothing is a link to our past. It is wearable déjà vu, threaded nostalgia. By incorporating vintage into our modern wardrobe, we not only uphold trends of a bygone era, but join the green movement of our own. And while we're at it, our style morphs into something unexpected and artistic, rising above the idea of fashion as clone.
At CAYSF, we toast the past lives our pieces have led and want you to be pleased with your purchase from the moment the box is opened until you create your own memories in it. All items showcased are cherry-picked for their pizzazz by discerning eyes and we are constantly on the OCD lookout for wear and tear. Since this is clearly not their first rodeo, some pieces may have minor bumps and bruises, most of which simply add character. Should there be flaws that truly affect your ability to rock the garment well, we will always make note of it in the description in addition to providing a photo of the area in question. And if you'll kindly allow us to state the obvious, laundering/dry cleaning is strongly recommended before use!
Please also be aware that we can only do our best to guesstimate modern sizing and styling clamps are sometimes used for larger garments in our product shoots. To prevent size discrepancies, we painstakingly measure each and every piece so above all else, refer to these measurements and our FIT GUIDE when making the call on personal fit. And remember, if you fall madly in love with something larger than your size--having a good tailor is key to life!
Since each item is one-of-a-kind exclusive, our policy cannot embrace refunds. However, in the unlikely event that damage is overlooked or the measurements are inaccurate, we will offer store credit for the item's amount plus shipping (pending CAYSF approval of circumstance). See CUSTOMER CARE for more details on our policies.
The phrase "one woman's trash is another woman's treasure" perfectly sums up this portion of our site! After announcing the launch of CAYSF, friends came out of the woodwork with Vivienne Westwood frocks or YSL numbers they had been trying to part with but were finding it nightmarish to upload on auction sites/cart them to consignment shops. When they begged us to sell the pieces as "designer vintage," a lightbulb went off. Why not simplify the process for everyone?
1) Send rough photos of your designer item with multiple angles/zooms to email@example.com.
2) Upon approval, ship the item to our headquarters in Los Angeles.
3) Your item will be featured in the Posh PawnShop and become up for grabs.
4) Once it sells, we will promptly send you its agreed upon value minus a resale fee.
Et voilà! Easy money for idle garments. See CUSTOMER CARE
for more details and email us to sell.
